Abler Art to be part of Roadtrip

Abler Art Glass again will be one of 10 host sites for the annual Rural Arts Roadtrip.

On its third year, this self-guided event takes people through the scenic small towns and rolling hillside of Calumet County and the surrounding areas is scheduled for Oct. 9-11.

There will be 10 site locations (host sites) and at each site one or more visiting artists/vendors will be showcasing their items. This year’s lineup is:

Abler Art Glass, Kiel—glass blowing demonstration, watercolor, homemade salsa/sauces/jam, carvings, and leather accessories;

Tom’s Barnboard, Kiel—recycled items to create products for home and garden;

Grassway Organics, New Holstein— organic farm and store, felted purses and hats, pet pottery;

Bleating Heart Haven, New Holstein— goats, sheep, Angora bunnies, hand-spun yarn, photography, pottery, crocheted items and jewelry;

Hilbert Art and Antiques, Hilbert— oil paintings, mixed media and print-making;

Sunrise Valley Organics, Hilbert— organic farming, natural soaps, lotions and oils;

Jan’s Specialities, St. Anna—reconstructed pieces of furniture, scroll saw artwork;

Heritage Orchard, Chilton—cider pressing demos with apples to buy, glass art and quilt art;

Meuer Farm, Chilton—corn maze, maple syrup, chain saw artists demonstrations;

The Plaid Squirrel, Chilton—eclectic shop, metal art, beaded jewelry.
