Since 1905, Bob Schoenborn’s Jewelry has been a name that residents in Kiel can trust.

Schoenborn’s has stood the test of time simply by holding onto their core values.

Over the past few years Schoenborn’s has received a bit of a face-lift as they have extensively remodeled the Fremont Street store front. The brick and siding has all been redone and they refurbished the existing sign that has been with the business since 1960. Bob mentioned that the outside of the store was done not only for the business, but to better the community and the city’s downtown.

Inside the store you will be greeted by experienced professionals ready to assist and provide for every customer.

Owner Bob Schoenborn has over 50 years of experience in the jewelry, watch and clock business. Bob is a Gemological Institute of America (GIA) certified diamond and pearl grader as well as a GIA trained goldsmith. His education also includes being a Wisconsin licensed master watch and clock maker.

Kristin Webber, a New Holstein native, has been with Bob Schoenborn’s Jewelry for three years. Webber is GIA certified in Diamond Essentials. She has a strong eye for detail and loves a challenge. Kristin can assist you with custom jewelry design work, jewelry remount work, and picking out the perfect piece of jewelry for your special someone.

Freund joins staff

Cindy Freund is a new yet familiar face that will greet you at Schoenborn’s. Cindy grew up in Marytown and currently resides in New Holstein. She comes to us with 30 years of retail experience and is also enrolled in courses through GIA. Cindy has an outstanding personality and looks forward to serving all of Schoenborn’s current and future customers.

One of the biggest aspects that sets Bob Schoenborn’s Jewelry aside from most others is the level of attention to customer service, inventory and repairs.

Schoenborn’s handles a large selection of loose diamonds which are all hand selected by Bob, Kristin and Cindy. This process insures the best quality and value for our customer. Hand selecting their inventory doesn’t stop at just diamonds. That’s right, they hand select every piece of jewelry, clock, watch and piece of giftware that you will find inside. This is why the staff at Schoenborn’s takes such pride in getting to know their customers. It isn’t just a sale it is a customer relationship. We do more than just look at inventory numbers and certain styles on the sheet. This generally isn’t something that larger retailers can do because it can be very time consuming; however, for Schoenborn’s that is how they ensure they are providing the very best products for their customers.

Bob Schoenborn’s Jewelry is also your one-stop shop for all engagement ring needs. They have over 350 styles of engagement rings that you can choose from. Every ring they carry can be made in white, yellow, rose or two-tone gold. All of the styles they offer can be altered to fit any diamond or gemstone shape in any size. They offer the modern styles all the way to antique designs. They also offer in-store financing and 0 percent interest on layaway.

Inside the case you can find product lines from all over the world, such as sterling silver and gold jewelry from Germany or genuine crystal jewelry from the Czech Republic. They also carry a Scandinavian watch line. Their newest jewelry line by Officina Bernardi features diamond-cut Italian sterling silver pendants, bracelets, earrings or rings. Bernardi offers a big look for an affordable price.

Bob Schoenborn’s jewelry offers religious giftware for baptism, first communion, and confirmation. They also offer hand-blown glass, hand-turned wood, and framed oil paintings all by local artists.

Beyond the inventory, the staff at Schoenborn’s is dedicated to helping with every customer’s need that walks through the door. They offer in-store repairs on clocks, jewelry and design work. All repairs are done in a timely manner and are completed to the highest quality standard. Servicing the products they carry in their own store is another reason Bob Schoenborn’s Jewelry stands apart from the others. “All goldsmith work, watch, and clock repairs are done right here by our staff. Even Rhodium plating is done in our store. And we’re proud of that,” Bob said.

Specialty work such as custom jewelry design and trading-up your diamond are just a few of the other services offered at Schoenborn’s. You can bring in your old diamond to trade-up for a larger size, better color, better clarity or just a different shape. While you’re trading-up your diamond you can custom design the ring or pendant of your dreams for an affordable price too.

With selection and experience, the century-old Schoenborn name is still a local staple as a trusted source in jewelry, repairs and fine gifts. As always they will continue to work hard for all of their customers by offering better quality, better prices, and the best customer service.
