Known for its successful buffet offerings, the Altona Supper Club has parlayed that reputation into a great mid-day option for dining customers.
Since last May, Altona has been offering a lunch buffet with great results.
Owners Jason Hunsader and David Braun, now in the 10th year of their partnership, have been getting great feedback. “Many people thought it was a good idea from the start, but it has been gaining in popularity throughout the winter,” Braun said.
Hunsader added, “It’s a quick way to enjoy a lunch. Not too many places in New Holstein or Kiel offer a traditional American buffet lunch.
The lunch buffet is offered Mondays through Fridays from 11-2 p. m. Offerings include broasted chicken, barbecue ribs, breaded shrimp, baked haddock, baby reds and mashed potatoes and full soup and salad bar. On Fridays, the buffet includes a bit more of the seafood opportunities.
Lunch buffet has been a great option for local businesses and industries. The buffet has also attracted seasonal groups and garden clubs who come to the area to browse at Honeymoon Acres, just a quarter mile up the road.
Although the buffet offers the optimum in luncheon convenience, Altona continues to serve off its menu at lunch, and at all meals.
Altona has become known for its variety of buffet specialties, offered 364 days a year. The restaurant and lounge is only closed on Christmas Day.
Meat lovers can enjoy their special all-you-can eat buffet on Thursdays and Sundays from 4-9 p. m.
Chicken, ribs, shrimp and a selected meat entree come with all the trimmings.
Priced at just $9.99, the Meat Lover’s Buffet is also offered on the first Tuesday of each month.
