BBQ takes Parker John’s to new level

Parker John’s BBQ and Pizza owners in Kiel continue to welcome you to their latest smoking good creation.

Surely they know how to prepare little piggies for market and when the smoke clears, it’s right to the dinner table for all the other hungry bellies, big or small.

Rub them the wrong way? Impossible. Aaron and Jen Sloma take great pride in their special seasonings and flavors added to their choice cuts of pork, beef and turkey. All meats get the rub down treatments before basking in a six-hour smoke, flavored slowly and to perfection. Nearly 80 pounds of meat are freshly smoked each day, ready for orders in the restaurant or carryout and deliveries. Shredded pork is among the most popular orders. Ribs and pulled pork are served with their house BBQ sauce while the smoked turkey and beef brisket are served naked. Ample menu choices are available at the restaurant, take-out or for home delivery.

Not sure how to dig in? How about some pig skins for starters? Nothing beats these lightly fried potato skins, topped with diced green onions, BBQ pulled pork, BBQ sauce, bacon and cheddar cheese. Smokehouse quesadillas wrap up all the savory flavors of your choice of smoked brisket or pulled pork, haystack onion rings, cheese, BBQ sauce, tomatoes and pickles. Think this is something to take flight? Then, you definitely have to try the Hawg Wings, which begs the question if pigs really do have wings.

Since last October, the Slomas decided to take the former Parker John’s Pizzeria to another level, offering delicious smoked BBQ items for Kiel and the surrounding areas. Keeping many of the popular pizza items on the menu, they continue to serve families their specialty items like their signature Kitchen Sink, Carnivore, BLT and Tailgater pizzas. For them, it’s not a sticky situation, offering the best of both worlds, and one they’re willing to sink their teeth into.
