Pla-Mor Lanes of Chilton is a bowling
alley—and a lot more.
Located at 260 E. Main St., owners
Gary and MariKay Mathes and their
employees—all but three of whom are
family members—also serve up a full
menu including homemade pizzas, soups
and a vegetarian selection.
Moonglow bowling is offered Friday
and Saturday nights from 10 a. m. to 1
p. m. They offer birthday parties, group
discounts and open bowling. They also
have five large flat-screen TVs in the bar
to watch all the big games.
Pla-Mor Lanes was founded in 1946
and Gary has owned it for 29 years. He
said he enjoys being dedicated to the
community of Chilton.
Two years ago they did a complete bar
and kitchen remodel. Last summer they
added a locker room upstairs, flat-screen
TVs in the bowling center, and new flat-screen
monitors. They added a texting
program where customers can get on
their list and they will send special offers
just to them.
“We are always looking to improve our
center for a more enjoyable experience
for our customers,” Mathes said.
One of Pla-Mor Lanes’ recent customers
was Republican presidential candidate
Rick Santorum, who stopped in
on Sunday, April 1. He bowled a game,
greeted everyone, and took pictures with
anyone who wanted one.
